FAQs
What is a Ceramic Coating?
A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that is applied to the exterior of a vehicle to protect the paint from damage and enhance its appearance. Ceramic coatings create a protective layer on top of the paint that is resistant to chemicals, UV rays, scratches, and environmental contaminants.
Some of the benefits of getting a ceramic coating include:
1. Long-lasting protection: Ceramic coatings can last for several years, providing long-term protection for your vehicle's paint.
2. Easy maintenance: The smooth and slick surface created by a ceramic coating makes it easier to clean your vehicle and maintain its appearance.
3. Enhanced gloss and shine: Ceramic coatings can enhance the color and shine of your vehicle's paint, giving it a sleek and glossy finish.
4. Scratch resistance: Ceramic coatings can help prevent minor scratches and swirl marks from damaging your vehicle's paint.
Overall, getting a ceramic coating can help protect your vehicle's paint and keep it looking shiny and new for longer.
Are Ceramic coatings actually good?
Absolutely, ceramic coatings offer significant benefits for your car. When applied after proper paint correction, it enhances the paint’s shine and provides substantial UV protection and a robust coating that endures for years. The primary function of ceramic paint coating is to shield your car from daily wear and tear as effectively as possible. It outperforms traditional paint sealants in protection, can eliminate swirl marks through paint correction, and imparts a stunning shine.
In terms of safeguarding the paint, ceramic coating lessens the adherence of brake dust, offers longevity surpassing that of wax, and enhances the overall finish of the car—the nano-coating forms an additional protective barrier on the car’s surface, ensuring exceptional UV resistance.
It’s important to note that our Ceramic Pro products are among the best in the industry. Those looking for do-it-yourself ceramic coating options may not experience the same level of longevity and protection that professionally installed coatings offer.
Are Ceramic Coatings Really Permanent?
Yes, Ceramic Coatings should be thought of as adding another clear coat to the paint's surface, Same idea to adding a screen saver to your new phone. This new clear coat is glossier, chemical resistant, and harder than the original clear coat. CP Ceramic Coatings is a permanent coating in the same sense that the clear coat on your car is permanent. Eventually the clear coat will wear away over the years; its overall longevity depends on conditions, cleaning frequency, proper application, and maintenance.
